Disrupt Space interview
A little while ago I had a lockdown Zoom chat with Paul Reid, the founder and director of a new black arts agency Disrupt Space. I've recently joined as one of the artists and also as an Associate Curator, so I am really looking forward to working on the next exhibition once life returns to some kind of normal. Here I talk to Paul about my background, influences, intentions and where I hope my practice might go in the future. It’s about a tea break length to watch ☕️
“From the Amazon rainforest to Hackney Downs, and across a whole range of disciplines, talents, practices, there is this incredible professionalism... and then flip mode, we can be talking about dinosaurs, and ghosts, and engaging with communities and people... This is fully expansive, immersive - but with it is real quality, and I get the feeling that you glow when others glow; you want to see others thrive and excel as well.”
